The Simple Breakfast Plate

This is a great and simple breakfast meal if you are looking to cover your entire basis and maximize the amount of nutrients your body is getting in the morning. Fruits, vegetables and protein will most certainly give you the boost you need to start your day off with a running start.

If you are not keen on some of the fruits of vegetable choices, use your calorie chart to switch them out for those you prefer. Just be mindful of the change in calories and increase or reduce the amounts as needed.

Nutritional Information:

13 grams of Protein

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 c Raspberries
  • 1/2 c Blueberries
  • 2 Yves Veggie Breakfast Patties
  • ¼ cup Hummus
  • ¼ cup Carrots
  • ¼ cup Celery

Directions:
  1. Heat Veggie Breakfast Patties on Frying Pan until warm
  2. Add to fruit, hummus and veggies plate
  3. Serve with Green Tea and Water

Tips from Carmen Lisa's Kitchen:

You Can Make Your Own Homemade Hummus Using The Following Ingredients:
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 (19 ounce) can garbanzo beans, half the liquid reserved
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Simply place all ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until creamy and well mixed.

Special Note:
Drinking Tea is an excellent way to increase the amount of water you are consuming each day. If you find it difficult to drink 8-10 glasses of water daily, try substituting 2 glasses of water with 2 cups of tea.
