Happy New Year Everyone!
I know, I know.......I'm 7 days behind the party line, but that's OK.
You see, I usually don't partake in the annual "New Year's Resolution" hype, so the fact that I am starting anything at all is pretty remarkable.
So what is Carmen's New Year's resolution?
Well that's even more hilarious and kinda makes me smile because I am still ironing out all the details.
I'm not really concerned though. I figure I have until December 31st, 2014 to get it right so what's the rush?
I have a few ideas running around in my head though. I just need to fine tune the details.
Today's entry is about my first New Year's Resolution.
Have A Successful Website.
I really love the idea of owning and operating a website that helps other people. At the same time, I want it to provide me with the feelings of satisfaction, happiness and pride in my work.
However, this is easier said than done..........
I have tried to launch websites in the past and they haven't really turned out. My biggest problem is that I don't know what to make my website about. I have WAY too many interests, desires and loves in life to choose just one thing. Plus I get bored easy. Generally what happens is that I choose a "niche" and start building the website. Then get bored of the topic and want to write about something else.
This vicious cycle keeps continuing.
I am notorious for starting things and stopping before they have been fully executed, so I have decided this is the year to change the cycle and have chosen my 2014 website project!
At the moment I have no idea what my website is about, but I can l figure that out as time goes on
(no more blueprint making, niche generators, "how to" book's and picking a topic based on numbers)
I'm just going to start writing about things I love and that interest me and see where it takes me.
I named it www.carmenlisa.com because that's my name and it therefore gives me free speech to talk about anything and everything I want. Perfect!
My only goal this year is this.....
I must write an entry everyday.
It can be on anything I want and at any time of day. If at the end of this years all I have is 358 blog entries, that's okay. If an actual website blossoms, that's OK too. I just want to start something and see it through to the end.
No switching domain names.
No starting a new website.
No abandoning this work.
I have committed to this website and I will see it through. One entry a day for one year. I can do this!
See you tomorrow when I share my second New Year's Resolution.
My name is Carmen Lisa MacPherson and I'm a self proclaimed humanitarian, wellness advocate and wannabe super hero.
